​“Sunset Ridge is more than just a lesson barn it is a family. If you are looking for more than just taking a lesson and leaving this is the barn for you. Amanda has therapy mini ponies and they do all sorts of community services and camps. She truly believes that horses can benefit children from all ages and backgrounds. Sunset Ridge offers horse riding camps that includes reading, and learning to care for the horses. The trainers that Amanda has working at Sunset Ridge are experienced to work with children who have never seen a horse or who have ridden for years. They have experience with special needs children as well. My daughter’s self esteem and self confidence improved significantly while she was at Sunset Ridge. She was a working student and she made friends while she was there. Along with the community service and fun camps she offers, Amanda also does 4-H. Each year Sunset would participate in District and State. This was an amazing for all the children whether they were able to compete or not. Amanda and the trainers make sure that no child is left out and she doesn’t tolerate any drama of any kind. We just wish Sunset Ridge was not so far from where we live now.  One more thing I would like to add, my daughter learned a lot at Sunset Ridge and she is using what she learned at other barns now.  I highly recommend Sunset Ridge for all horse riding lessons and needs. "As a parent, witnessing the growth and development of your child is one of the most rewarding experiences. When Isabelle expressed an interest in horse riding, I had no idea just what this would mean for her. We enrolled in the riding program at Sunset Ridge and I cannot imagine her riding anywhere else.

The instructors at Sunset Ridge are amazing in refining Isabelle’s riding skills. Their expertise and guidance help her understand how complex the sport is. They help her learn balance, control, and communication with her horse. This is all done with gentle pushing and showing her that when she steps outside her comfort zone, she can achieve her goals. She is never forced to do anything that she doesn’t want to do, but instead encouraged to build upon her skills.

Isabelle has learned the value of consistent practice. Riding has taught her dedication and discipline. Even better than the riding experience, Isabelle has built bonds and friendships at the barn that I think will be lifelong. All the kids in the program build each other up and support each other. To watch them cheering each other on at competitions is so awesome.
